Handwoven from 100% natural raffia by skilled artisans. Each piece carries subtle variations in tone and texture, reflecting the beauty of natural fibres and traditional craftsmanship.

To care for your raffia piece:

  • Use mild, natural detergents only - avoid harsh chemicals or cleaners.
  • Spot clean small marks with a damp cloth.
  • For greasy stains, soak in warm soapy water and gently rub with a soft sponge.
  • Always air dry completely before storing or using.
  • Store away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Avoid contact with oils and cosmetics
  • Maintain shape by storing with light padding when not in use

Each piece is hand-crocheted stitch by stitch, a technique that allows our artisans to build form and structure entirely by hand. The rhythm of the crochet hook creates raffia's signature texture — dense, considered, and remarkably durable. It's a skill that takes years to master and hours to execute, with no two pieces ever quite identical.

IDA is designed in Australia and hand made at our family workshop in Madagascar.
